Formed in 2005, founding member and vocalist Lane Steele bore the musical Groove-Metal project from the seeds of his poetry inspired works and spoken word performances. In 2006 the debut EP “Waiting for the Punch” was released gaining recognition in Music Connection Magazine and receiving plays on college and indie radio stations all across the nation. In support of their second EP, “Epiphany” featuring Kenneth Schalk (Candiria) on drums, Kauze is creating an effect from their many live show performances and mini tours with the established lineup of Die Wachi (Divine Era) guitar, Mike Gomez (Ascension) drums, and Jesse Sanchez (Ascension) bass. In the company of Superjoint Ritual, Clutch, Down, and Marilyn Manson, Kauze fall out of the normal confines of Metal and that’s where they like to stay. With palatable and superb aggression Kauze takes you on seamless stroll down memory lane, over the mountains and through the hills, leaving you with the timeless sweet-smells from the old-school hardcore-punk and metal paths.
